National Cycle Routes
The spine route inter-connects with National Cycle Routes.
Good connectivity at Guildford also serves to integrate the Guildford-Godalming Greenway with long-distance routes converging on and passing through Guildford. Two ‘Sustrans’ National Cycle Routes (NCRs) currently pass through Guildford:
- NCR22 links to Farnham (and beyond) in the west and to Dorking (and beyond) in the east.
- NCR223 is a north south route connecting Woking (and beyond) in the north with Cranleigh (and beyond) in the south.
Both National Cycle Routes share the Guildford-Godalming Greenway route between Godalming and Shalford and so no additional work is required to make this connection.
