Feb 2020 Guildford MP supports Downs Link repurposing

In her maiden speech new Guildford MP Angela Richardson mentioned the Downs Link – one of our major important spines for active travel and recreation, that runs from Peasmarsh to Cranleigh (Guildford) and eventually to Shoreham by Sea. The MP talked about the idea of repurposing the Downs Link, which can only add weight to the importance of active travel around our network. Waverley Cranleigh Councillor Liz Townsend also supported the idea of the Greenway.

19 July 2018 Greenway receives Godalming Town Council support

A presentation about the Greenway was delivered to a meeting of Godalming Town Council this evening where the proposal was warmly received. The Council agreed to bring forward proposals for consideration by Members in regards to the adoption of the Guildford Godalming Greenway as a Community Infrastructure Levy project.

29 June 2018 Waverley Local Committee adopts the Greenway into its Cycle Plan

Frank Apicella, representing Surrey County Council, presented the Greenway proposal to the Waverley Local Committee. The committee agreed that the Guildford Godalming Greenway route be adopted into the Waverley Cycle Plan.

13 June 2018 Guildford Local Committee adopts the Greenway into its Cycle Plan

Becky Willson, representing Surrey County Council, presented the Greenway proposal to the Guildford Local Committee. The committee agreed that the Guildford Godalming Greenway route be adopted into the Guildford Cycle Plan.
